Competing in semi contact points fighting where speed and counter striking is essential.

First up was Gee Denne. After finishing 2nd in last year’s event, Gee was ready for action. Although facing much higher grades than himself Gee proved his speed and skill out weighed his opponents and after 8 straight wins, took 1st place without question.

Chloe and Jack Denne were next up in the Kiddies section. It was Chloe’s first contest and she fought hard, earning herself a medal along with the other 10 children. Her brother Jack Denne was also in the same group and after a slow start gained confidence to go on to win 5 out of his 10 bouts, just missing out on the trophies getting a split 4th position.

Last up was Lucy Martlew. It was her first time in this type of event and after some very close bouts and some tough points, won a 3rd place trophy.

Carl would like to thank Brian and Paul from AKA again for inviting us and the opportunity to come along and join in their show. It was a great day and HKA are happy to be supporting another local gym.

HKA continues to grow and produce great competitors. At the Academy we also promote anti bulling and healthy living. For more information on kickboxing and the new gym on Castleham Industrial Estate please contact Carl on 07949 221946.
