HKA Fight Night 7. The Battles…………

18 Bouts all in all including 6 ICO Title belts.
I didn’t get to see all the bouts so I will say what I can.

First on was Bill shelton who took a Demo helping out Rayan Ravjani from Ravs boys who didn’t make weigh for his title match. although not what we was after to talented lads and a great match up to open the show.

Adis Murasavos Vs Xavier Raleh for FCA. and they really come to town for a war, very strong and action packed bout both young men with a positive future ahead of them, Xavier taking the win.

Luke Wallace from Falcons Won over Tom Heatherington from Impact gym, Tom is his first fight and taking it as a Full con battle really showed hard and never stopped working but it was Luke’s had raised and the final bell.

Jess Roper in a war with Rachel Lyons from Ireland, another great matched fight and both ladies throwing leather for the whole bout, Jess Takes the win.

I didnt get to see Ethan Vs Eddy along with Mikhail vs Jack in the title bout.
Ethan ended up to be a demo due to weights not matching, bit from what I herd it was a craker, Jack BInns, Assassins wins the ICO -40 English Title, I look forward to watching these on the dvd in a few weeks time.

Now for the main event……..
Dan and Jam.. “socks”
Both men wanted to bring it, Dan had a score to settle, Jam wanted to prove a point! Jam said “I tried to bang you out!” – Dan “yeah but you didn’t!”
I love it…. What a war and want sportsmanship,
I had round 1 Jam – round 2 draw – round 3 Dan. SO a draw…..
Judges…. Majority draw… Trilogy I see……
On a personal note I feel Dan was the neater fighter and more on point but Socks maybe more aggression.. I don’t it really was close and I can’t wait to watch it again.

Next up Conner George Vs Joe Shelton, Both lads at FULL steam with a score to settle, 2 close rounds with not a lot in it.. but sadly they both threw a low kick at the same time.. (not intentionally) Joe did carry on but going into the 3rd round it was clear it was unsafe to continue, Joe tried to carry on but the corner threw in the towel protecting their fighter. Any good corner would of done the same. I wish Joe a fast recovery and Im sure will meet again, as I know he will want to prove his worth. was a great fight up till then, But Conner in crowned the ICO English Lightweight champion.

Marley Mason Vs Liam Alford.
Wow 5 rounds of PURE Kickboxing pleasure……….
5 rounds toe to toe…… Marley the tank, Liam the fighter jet….
I need to watch this one again, but was on for the books. Liam Alford crowded the ICO 5 Nations super Featherweight Champion.

Sadly I didn’t get to see Kumel Vs George but Kumel won the ICO -35kgs Area title and in status i have read, it didn’t disappoint, George against a heavier and more skilled boy, showed heart, courage and battled for the whole 5 rounds.
I had G down at HKA a few times sparring and he is always a great and hard working lad and his time will come.

Michelle Biggs wins against Tanith Coburn, (I didn’t see this) but again herd it was a great fight.

Chris kubicki from star gym beet Lorcan Mathews from Assassins in 3 rounds that kicking that shows everyone that the sport is here to stay and still a fantastic show for the whole crowd.

Local lad 😉 – Marlon beet Arsen Demeicki from Demons, in a 3 round war. 2 rounds to 1, both men took chunks out of each other nether giving up, neither wanting to yield, in round 3 Marlon started to take control and took the win. Well done buddy.

Judd button Vs Bradley Beck, WOW – what a fight and I really want to see more of it! it started like millennium fire works…. Unreal from both lads…..
Brad started to find his range with his right leg and started to rain in the kick, I dont think I’ve ever seen that much power from a – 60kg fighter….
2 heavy kicks with so much force stopping Judd in the first round.
Brad Beck – ICO British lightweight Champion.

Now the last one…………….
Matti Piechocki from Gym Xtreme Vs Owen Evens, Star Gym.
Both with impeccable records, set for 5 rounds. both lads started strong and I was thinking can they both keep up the pace and power???
But it was Owen who started to find his feet, range and power, and slowly started to slow him man down! Matti was no chump he was in the fight the whole way returning fire all the time. end of the 2nd and into the 3rd Owen started to soldier on through backing up Matti, K1 – No shins is Tough, and before any serious injury accured the towel was thrown in. Owen Evens ICO K1 British Lightweight Champion.

Anyone that left earlier this was one of the BEST fights I’ve ever watched. (and thats ALOT) Such Class from both men, Power, ring craft, countering……… The list goes on…… Watching as an instructor, Owen you ability to read is flawless, and it was like you was watching in slow motion, power was frightening, timing perfect, throwing some of them kick combos most fighters dream of doing. TRUE class buddy.

As always thanks to All gyms for the support and making the event what it is…. The HKA Fight Night series firmly stamps its foot in place as I’d like to think one of the best shows around, and without you Fighters and Gyms we have no show.
