Hastings Kickboxing Cadets new hopefuls Millie Sarton and Katie Bonnet along with Callum Helsdown travelled to TKO in Maidstone this weekend to compete in their first Light continuous kickboxing competition.

Both Millie and Katie in their first bout for HKA, they have both only been kickboxing for 3 months but have shown great energy and passion for the sport and asked if they could step up their training.

Millie was first into the ring and for all 3 rounds was stronger and faster than her opponent winning the fight and her first victory for HKA.
Katie jumped into the ring next, fighting a more experienced and heavier girl (7kgs) she battled hard and took some great shots showing the crowd how strong and determined she was. After winning the first round Kate got winded and ran out of steam towards the end, at the final bell the other girl just clinched the win.

Last up was Callum, in yet another great fight < Callum is really starting to find his feet and with great feet and ring craft combined dominated the fight, in the third round his man came out fighting but it was too little too late, Callum winning another fight to his list of fights.

Instructor Carl Denne said “I AM SO PROUD OF THE TEAM TODAY.
Winning 2 out of the 3 fights, and one being over matched is was a fantastic day at the office and you all made the club proud. Well done
