George French wins with a perfectly executed body shot from the heavens. Something we have been working on over the last few weeks, same as in the ICO British opens.
George is now 5 an 0 in just 4 weeks this year so far and its only February. In the last few weeks we have seen a huge change in George’s fighting style and demeanour and really looking forward to a busy and punishing year ahead.

What a great fight.
Round one! HONESTLY could have gone either way neither lad won or lost it! Both giving 110%. Did the judges go for aggression? Landed shots? Ring control? Countering skills?
For me a draw…. but on the fence.
Round two, the fight sways back and forth with good success from both, however they also both take the shots like seasoned pros – Luke landed a flush head kick and Jake just shrugged his shoulders and firing back (love this kid) – so again it’s back to who is doing the majority of the work to gain the round. For me I though Jake had just done enough.
Round 3 does nothing but support the skill and talent of show – they trade back and forth but with no wildness – clean, crisp techniques, resilience, and aggression.
But Jake did lose this round! What a fight!
WHAT a first K1 bout for Jake, never trained or conditioned for this. 4 days of prep work and a crash course in leg kicks.
Final decision a Majority draw, very happy with that.
What I love as well both lads is like true warriors their back to work / school the next day and they’re be both back in the gym the next evening ready to continue with the preparation for their next bouts.
