Hastings Kickboxing Academy went along to Ore Village Primary Academy last week where they was hosted a ‘Breakout Afternoon’ to break away from the curriculum and encourage children to try new activities.
Joining Hastings Kickboxing Academy was 32 children, HKA spent the afternoon at Ore Village Primary Academy teaching the children basic kickboxing skills, Self defense, Life skills and some good old fitness drills.
It was a great experience for those involved and a first for many. The children were being healthy and active whilst learning how to safely defend themselves. All the children really enjoyied the 90 minute session. “This is the best Friday afternoon I’ve had in my life, can we do it every week?” A child in Year 2.
Activities ranged from art, a bike ride, fishing, football, singing and rock pooling.
